Makenzie is an adult former foster child who found a lifelong family through the love of a Children’s Hope foster family. She speaks about her new family and her experiences with them in the link below.

Makenzie lived in numerous states and experienced multiple placements in Texas before she was placed with an El Paso CHRS family. She was pregnant when she came to her CHRS foster home and gave birth to a baby girl while in foster care. That child was adopted by her foster parents, allowing Makenzie to live with her baby and to continue to have a relationship with her once she aged out of foster care. She considers this CHRS family to be her forever family – and they feel the same way about Makenzie. Makenzie is currently attending college in El Paso. Her daughter thriving in her adoptive CHRS home.
