On the last Friday of November, the 30th, our kids were able to attend the Cabela’s annual event called Santa’s Wonderland. Our kids of all ages were able to experience the amazing outdoor store and the safety tips of camping, fishing, and many other outdoor activities.
The greatest part of our visit to the Lubbock location was a free photo with Santa! Our kids were able to meet and greet the jolly fellow from the North Pole. The children were also able to take a copy of their photo with Kris Kringle home with them, including a quick conversation about their wish for the Christmas season. The conversations heard throughout our time there were precious moments for both the Cabela’s staff and our kids to cherish for years to come.
Children’s Hope Residential Services is always looking for mentors and volunteers, so if you would like to take part of some of our adventures please come by our offices 2526 82nd Street, Suite A in Lubbock, Texas to get the process started. We couldn’t be more excited for the friendships we created among the staff and the public that took part in this wonderful event held right here in our beautiful community of Lubbock. Santa’s Wonderland will continue to run throughout the month of December until the 24th.
