Today marked a unique partnership between South Plains College Athletics and Children’s Hope. Roger Reading, Athletic Director at SPC will honor the organization with season ticket passes to the men’s and women’s 2018-2019 basketball season. Children’s Hope kids attending local games will be able to experience court side seats.

The South Plains Men’s Texan team are ranked second in the nation with an 8-0 record, while the Lady Texans are currently number 15 in the nation with a 9-1 record to date.

Children’s Hope Director of Development, Daniel Alvarado, a former SPC student, studied photography at South Plains College, following high school graduation in 2001 Olton ISD, later transferring to Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, where he majored in Mass Communications.

SPC athletes also participate in a wide variety of other activities, including, but not limited to, rodeo, half marathon, cross-country, cheerleading, track & field. “This partnership will allow our students to explore the campus of South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, in hopes that one day, they too, will become students of SPC.”

For more information or if you would like to join us in these worthwhile efforts, or to be an official partner of Children’s Hope activities, please contact us via email daniel.alvarado@childrenhp.org
