Children’s Hope kicked off National Child Abuse Prevention Month in Abilene, Texas by displaying 428 pinwheels outside of McMurry University to represent the number of Taylor County children in substitute care in 2018. To become a foster parent please contact Kassia Jaramillo at (325) 446-5141.

We have formed a Community Engagement Advisory Committee that advises our organization about what recourses are available in each of the communities we serve including but not limited to Abilene, Texas.  With the support of our communities through these committees, resources will be brought together so that every child will continue to have the love and attention they deserve. Not every community member will be able to foster a child. It is our responsibility to return to them the childhood that has been taken from them. Everyone can help and that’s where we at Children’s Hope want to ‘Bridging The Gap’. The sole purpose of this committee is to understand what the needs of each of the communities are, then organize functions that will raise awareness to help solve those issues.  This is not a governing body nor are we asking for funds. The sole purpose of the Community Engagement Advisory Committee is to create awareness throughout the communities we serve and meet the needs of every family in each of our communities. Please join us in this mission.
